Governor's Message

Thank you for taking the time to visit the website of the Northeast District of the National Association of Negro and Professional Women’s Clubs, Incorporated.  The Northeast District is the largest of seven districts in the organization.  The District includes  the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island and the island of Bermuda. 

The Founders’ of this illustrious organization began with the following charge:

“The focus of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. is to promote and protect the interests of African American Women: to serve as bridges for young people seeking to enter business and professions: to improve the quality of life in the local and global communities and to foster good fellowship.”

The Northeast District offers individuals such as you a venue to give back to your local and global communities for the benefit of society at large, “Volunteerism.”

The Northeast District offers individuals such as you an opportunity to meet with other professionals to exchange and share ideas, “Networking Opportunities.”

The Northeast District offers individuals such as you an open environment to discuss and implement meaningful change, “Change Agent.”

I, Annie R. Lucas, Governor of the Northeast District encourage you to join this group of phenomenal women who are authors, bankers, lawyers, educators, accountants, health professionals, clergy, entrepreneurs and women in all walks of the business and professions arenas and become a member of one of the oldest and most progressive women’s organizations, The National Association of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Incorporated.
